Whether she is translating, interpreting, tutoring or simply doing her shopping, Nadine Mott is above all else a Communicator. Born and raised in France and fascinated with languages from a young age, she speaks and works in four languages and genuinely loves to help her clients get their message across. She goes from a workers’ compensation hearing to a school meeting, from a factory tour to an asylum application interview, a medical appointment to a high-stake business presentation, and flexible is her middle name (she practices yoga, too!). Her most prestigious and exciting assignment was simultaneously interpreting for Pope Francis during his visit to Philadelphia in 2015.

Since graduating from college in Paris, she has traveled extensively in Europe and Latin America, lived in Scotland and England where she became Brazilian (at heart!) by marriage, but loves the cultural diversity she has found in Houston, where she has lived with her two sons since 2000. In particular, she finds great satisfaction in the work she does interpreting for refugees at the local level, while participating in global translation projects from the comfort of her home-office in the International District of Sharpstown.

Now a U.S. citizen and remarried to a native Houstonian, she constantly strives to grow and learn more – she is now a student of Non-Violent Communication and American Sign Language.
